Why Choose EcoTraining?
•We’ve been training since 1993 - one of the first organisations to conduct formal Field Guide training
•We train in great wilderness areas including the Kruger National Park
•Our students train while living in the middle of the African wilderness in our unfenced camps, with wild animals potentially outside their cavas tents
•We have trained Field Guides for top tourism operators such as Wilderness Safaris, Tanzania Wildlife Safaris, KZN Wildlife, Heritage Group and various privately-owned game lodges in southern Africa

Off Days – 28 and 55 Day Courses:
Learners will have 1 off day during the 28 day cycle, on which learners are encouraged to leave camp, go into town to buy provisions and to just have some fun away from the bush. The camp and office staff will gladly assist you with ideas for your off time. Please note that any arrangements made for learner off days are for the learners’ own account.

Off Days – Professional Field Guide Students:
professional Field Guide students will receive a Course Overview for their year, which details when students are in camp, and when students are off.

It is a break from your studies, a time to get out of the learning environment and the bush for a while, to relax and rest before resuming your studies. These off weeks are essential to your course. Too much time spent secluded in the bush, learning and cramming each day is not conducive to training. Please note that any arrangements made for learner off days are for the learners’ own account.
