Where is Selati Game Reserve located?
The Selati camp is situated on the banks of the Selati River in the 33 000 hectares (81 545 acres) Selati Game Reserve, to the west of the Kruger National Park.
The reserve is bisected by the Selati River, which dries up into large rocky pools of water in winter. There is a lot of space to conduct walks and get a true sense of the wilderness.

The summer weather at the Selati Game Reserve averages a maximum temperature of 35°C between October and March.
In winter, the minimum temperature averages 5°C between April and September.

Wildlife Sightings
Our camp is situated in the heart of the Selati Game Reserve, a breathtaking location that boasts an impressive variety of animals. Take a game drive through the reserve and witness elephants, elands, giraffes and zebras as they roam freely. You might even catch a glimpse of the majestic African lion, the king of the jungle.
Conservation projects
For a more hands-on experience, join one of our conservation projects such as bush clearing and block burns.
Not only will you learn valuable skills, but you will also be making a contribution to the preservation of the environment.
Diverse fauna
Wildlife enthusiasts will be delighted with the diverse fauna around the plainlands. Buffalo, wildebeest, kudu, impala, klipspringer and waterbuck can be spotted throughout the reserve. Birders can search for the famous Verreaux eagle and other fascinating species.
Additional activities
Stay active with our bush fitness and volleyball sessions, or take a leisurely stroll on one of our game walks. Afterwards, relax in our unfenced camps and bask in the serene surroundings.
Staying at the camp
Tents
The camp consists of 10 simple dome tents.
Bedding
Each tent houses two mattresses and single pillows (two learners per tent).
Ablutions
There are shared bathroom facilities and a central communal area overlooking the Selati River.
Mosquitoes
No mosquito nets are provided in camp.
What to bring
A sleeping blanket, additional blanket, an additional pillow, should you require it.
