WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH:
In 2016 Honeyguide Publications launched their ground-breaking new “Honeyguide” Educational Sightings and Interactive Map App for Kruger National Park, with a strong focus on all birds and mammals that can be seen in the respective wildlife areas together with other ecological information. The App is available in Android and iOS.
Given the App’s educational focus, EcoTraining has endorsed the App and encourages our students to use it. We are very excited by this association. Find Honeyguide Publications on your mobile phone’s APP store. Download of the App is free and there is a minimal monthly or annual subscription fee which is worth every cent for the incredible interactive wealth of educational information it provides.
Honeyguide Publications has been publishing natural history publications since the early 1980’s and has published 21 books over the years. Visit www.honeyguidepublications.com to read about the other wildlife reserves they have map books and APPS for.
WE ARE MEMBERS OF:
Established in 1969, the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) is a non-profit, member-driven association representing the region’s tourism private sector.
At SATSA, they strive to maintain their three key qualities in all the work they do: credibility, value and authority. SATSA further provides support to members who require key services and benefits on a local and regional level, and at international trade shows. The organisation also lobbies issues associated and affecting the inbound tourism industry.
To become a SATSA member, a business must prove annually that they adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and service.
BirdLife South Africa
BirdLife South Africa aims to promote South Africa as a top-class bird-watching destination. Their Birding Routes provide birders information on where to go birding, who to go birding with and where to stay in South Africa.
Global trends in ecotourism have indicated a willingness from ecotourists to support establishments that operate in line with principles of responsible tourism. BirdLife South Africa has undertaken to ensure that all the accommodation establishments that it supports, operate in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner.
By displaying the BirdLife South Africa branding, establishments are easily recognised by birders. Their commitment demonstrates that they are promoting their birder-friendly establishment as a prime avitourism destination, while doing their bit for bird conservation in South Africa.
