Where is the Pridelands Conservancy located?
Pridelands Conservancy is located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, north of the Hoedspruit Airforce base.
The fences between Pridelands and the Greater Kruger National Park (GKNP) were removed in September 2017, incorporating the Pridelands Conservancy into the Great Kruger National Park with an additional 2000 ha of land and greatly expanding the animal habitat.

The summer weather at the Pridelands Conservancy averages a maximum temperature of 35°C between October and March.
In winter, the minimum temperature averages 6°C between April and September.

Wildlife Sightings
Since we dropped the fences at the Pridelands Conservancy, the variety of wildlife that has been seen is truly remarkable. From the Big Five to hyenas, wild dogs, elephants, and buffalo, there is never a dull moment on safari with EcoTraining in this natural wonderland.
Conservation projects
As a participant in our safari guide training programme, you will have the opportunity to take part in conservation projects such as bush clearing and block burns. This hands-on experience is a valuable part of our programme, as it allows you to make a real difference in the preservation of Africa’s wildlife.
Daily walks & drives
A highlight of your stay will be the daily game walks and game drives that we offer. Led by experienced guides, you will have the chance to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the African bush up close. With each step, you’ll be amazed by the incredible diversity of wildlife that surrounds you.
Additional activities
Our camp also offers other activities such as bush fitness and fully immersive nature experiences in our unfenced camps. With no barriers between you and nature, you’ll feel like you’re truly part of the African wilderness.
Staying at the camp
There is an unobtrusive electrified fence around the camp, but this does not detract from the wild feeling.
Tents
The camp consists of 10 simple dome tents.
Bedding
Each tent houses two mattresses and single pillows (two learners per tent).
Ablutions
There are shared bathroom facilities and a central communal area.
Mosquitoes
There are no mosquito nets available at Pridelands Conservancy.
What to bring
A sleeping blanket, additional blanket, an additional pillow, should you require it.
